Do you want to help create a safe, inspiring, and developmental school environment for our students? We are looking for an engaged and certified teacher for our municipal primary school. Starting from the autumn term 2026, the operations will merge with Mimergården. This means a journey of development where we leverage what works well today, while together shaping something new – always with the students' safety and learning in focus.

You are qualified to teach in grades F–6 or 4–6 and thrive in an operation where collaboration, stability, and development go hand in hand.

About Us

Ängsmogården is a municipal primary school focusing on safety, creativity, and good relationships between students and staff. Starting in August 2026, the school will grow through a merger with Mimergården, creating new opportunities for development, collaboration, and a larger operation. We are therefore looking for a teacher who wants to contribute to the school's continued development during this phase.

Ängsmogården is an F–6 school located approximately 8 kilometers southeast of Östersund city center. The school activities are situated right next to an outdoor and forest area, making it easy to take students on excursions. In winter, there are both ice rinks and ski tracks nearby. In summer, the ice rink transforms into a football field.

About the Position

As a teacher with us, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on the curriculum and the students' needs. You are part of a three-teacher team, where you jointly take responsibility for teaching, support each other, and create a cohesive structure for student learning. Together with colleagues in the work team, you contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Responsibilities

As a teacher with us, you will:

  • plan, implement, and follow up on teaching according to Lgr22.
  • create a safe and structured learning environment for the students.
  • assess and document students' knowledge development.
  • collaborate in work teams and contribute to a positive collegial climate.
  • be involved in the school's development work.
  • collaborate with colleagues, guardians, and student health services.
  • work as a homeroom teacher.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Primary Teacher Degree F–6 or 4–6.
  • Teaching certification (or awaiting certification).
  • Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits:

  • Is a confident and clear leader in the classroom.
  • Has good collaboration skills and sees opportunities in change.
  • Values structure, relationships, and continuity.

We are looking for you!

With personal maturity and an empathetic approach, you create safe and motivating learning environments for the students. You have a clear pedagogical foundation and a holistic view that allows you to see both individual and group needs. In the classroom, you lead teaching with engagement, structure, and warmth, and you actively contribute to a positive and developmental school environment.

How the recruitment process works

In this recruitment, we will ask you for an extract from the criminal record.

Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis. We would like you to attach a CV and a cover letter to your application. Grades/certificates do not need to be sent with the application. We ask you to complete these if an interview becomes relevant.

Östersund Municipality has considered the choice of advertising channels prior to advertising and therefore declines calls from recruitment agencies and advertising sales.
