Inspire tomorrow's citizens together with engaged colleagues at Ebersteinska Gymnasium – a school where relationships, development, and learning are at the center.
Who are we?
Ebersteinska Gymnasium is a growing municipal upper secondary school. This autumn, we have approximately 700 students and 85 employees. We offer education within the Economics Programme, Sales and Service Programme, Natural Science Programme, Social Science Programme, Technology Programme, Healthcare and Care Programme, as well as the Introductory Programme.
The school is organized into three units with one upper secondary school principal, three principals, and nine work teams that, together with the school management, drive school development. We work in functional and pleasant premises where commitment, quality, and development permeate everything we do. Here, you have the opportunity to build relationships and contribute to students' knowledge development in an environment where community and development are in focus.
We are now looking for a substitute teacher in sociology, history, and social studies. The substitute position starts on August 7, 2026, and runs until June 17, 2027.
Your responsibilities
You teach sociology, history, and social studies at the upper secondary level. The assignment includes planning, implementation, and follow-up of teaching with a focus on creating motivation, participation, and progression among students.
You are part of a work team where mentoring a group of students is an important part of the assignment, which you share with a mentor colleague. As a mentor, you work closely with the students and support them in their knowledge development and study situation.
In the work team, you are an important part of the joint effort to ensure all students succeed. You collaborate with colleagues, student health services, and school management to create a safe, inclusive, and development-oriented learning environment. Through clear communication and a relationship-building approach, you contribute to a positive climate where students are given the conditions to reach their full potential.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are qualified and certified as an upper secondary school teacher with qualifications in sociology, history, and religion. We would like you to have experience teaching at the upper secondary level.
As a person, you are an engaged and relationship-building educator who thrives with both independent work and collaboration. You have good pedagogical insight and understanding of how students absorb knowledge and plan teaching based on their prerequisites. You are structured, clear, and flexible, and have the ability to adapt teaching and communication to the recipient.
You thrive in a operation where daily changes may occur and work purposefully and solution-focused. To succeed in the role, we see that you have very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing, and that you are well-versed in the school's steering documents.
We welcome your application!
