The Education Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations and is responsible for preschool, primary school, upper secondary school, adapted primary and upper secondary school, and adult education. With approximately 1,000 employees, we offer education that promotes all children and students in lifelong learning, working towards the direction of "high knowledge results in a school where everyone can and wants to be". We place great emphasis on working close to the operations through regular dialogue and support for school leaders and teachers based on the chain of command.

Väderstad School is a school with an associated after-school center. Approximately 17 people work at the school, and together we are responsible for approximately 125 students from preschool class to grade 6. Our staff includes teachers at the beginning of their careers and teachers with many years of experience in the profession. Väderstad School has partially newly renovated premises and a large schoolyard that offers opportunities for varied activities.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher, you will work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work based on the curriculum. You collaborate with the school's various professions to support student learning. You are part of a work team where you work systematically to develop the school together. Based on the set goals, you shall strive for students to achieve the best possible development, both academically and socially, and actively influence and stimulate students to achieve these goals.

As a teacher, you view the student's entire school day as important, and you therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this, the school's and after-school center's operations also collaborate to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student.

You base your work on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching that meets the requirements of the Education Act, curriculum, course plan, and subject plan. You must be subject-matter competent, mentor students, plan and lead teaching, and assess knowledge development. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit student learning, as well as your own and the operation's development, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

Qualifications

• You have a primary teacher's degree with a focus on preschool class, grades 1-6, and teacher certification.
• You uphold good ethics and sound values. You defend equal opportunities both within the organization and in society at large.
• You have the ability to speak clearly and exude credibility and self-confidence. You have the ability to hold presentations, lectures, and training sessions and adapt them to the target group's needs and feedback.
• You have the ability to plan and organize your work. You find it easy to set goals, follow up, and conclude activities. You have the ability to carefully analyze and assess different types of data to draw well-thought-out conclusions and to create functional solutions.
• You have the ability to adapt to changed conditions. You encourage and support change initiatives. You find it easy to adapt your behavior in relation to other people's needs.
