Your Responsibilities

As a physical education teacher at Blästadsskolan, you have an important task to lay the foundation for good health and physical ability among our students.

• You work with planning, teaching, and evaluation based on the curriculum for grades F-6.
• You create varied and challenging teaching that starts from the student group you meet.
• You adapt the teaching so that all students, regardless of prerequisites, feel that they can and want to participate. You ensure that joy of movement comes before performance.
• Digital tools are used as a natural part of your teaching to promote students' learning.
• You collaborate closely with colleagues in both school and after-school care to create the best possible conditions for each student's entire school day.
• The role includes maintaining good dialogue with guardians regarding the student's development.

Your Workplace

Blästadsskolan is a multifaceted operation consisting of primary school grades F-6, after-school care, a resource school focusing on hearing impairment, adapted primary school grades 1-6, and after-school care. The school is located in the southern districts of Linköping and has nature right at its doorstep. As a teacher for the intermediate grades, you will work in our newly built school building with premises specifically adapted for the activity. The schoolyard borders fine oak forests, walking areas, and grass fields that offer an inspiring environment for play and learning. There are approximately 400 students at the school, and about 100 employees work here.

Blästadsskolan's approach is a relational perspective that should permeate the operation. In a relational perspective, actions and the environment are important to examine to understand how and why people end up in difficulties, as it is believed that difficulties arise in the situation. The focus is on shaping the learning environment and teaching so that it meets all students' different needs. The relational perspective is based on a democratic citizenship perspective, equal rights, participation, and an accessible society.

You who apply

We are primarily looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades F-6. Secondly, we are looking for you with a completed teacher education for grades F-6. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a teacher in grades F-6. It is meritorious if you have eligibility for physical education and health in grades F-6.

It is a requirement that you have experience of working in a curriculum-guided school through practice or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have taught in grade F-6 for at least one school year. It is also meritorious if you have experience of setting grades or alternatively documenting students' learning during the school year. You need to have the ability to plan and conduct teaching that is both playful for the younger and challenging for the older students.

In your role as a teacher in grades F-6, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that every student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in grades F-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and let them be involved in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
