Your responsibilities

As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work based on the national curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher, you see the student's entire school day as important, and you therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this collaboration, the school's and leisure center's activities also cooperate to achieve a higher level of goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You base your work on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

We are looking for a teacher for a temporary position in textile arts for a combined role that includes teaching in both regular comprehensive school and adapted comprehensive school. Central to the assignment is handling adaptations according to students' abilities and meeting students' needs within both school forms. In the role of textile arts teacher, you become part of a collegial context where collaboration is in focus.

The position is a temporary assignment from 2026-08-10 to 2026-11-30.

Your workplace

Blästadsskolan is a multifaceted operation consisting of comprehensive school grades F-6, leisure centers, a resource school focusing on hearing impairment, adapted comprehensive school grades 1-6, and leisure centers. The school is located in the southern districts of Linköping and has nature right at its doorstep. As a teacher for the intermediate grades, you will work in our newly built school building with premises specifically adapted for the activity. The schoolyard borders beautiful oak forests, walking areas, and grassy fields that offer an inspiring environment for play and learning. There are approximately 400 students at the school, and about 100 employees work here.

Blästadsskolan's approach is a relational perspective that should permeate the operation. In a relational perspective, actions and environments are important to examine to understand how and why people end up in difficulties, as it is believed that difficulties arise in the situation. The focus is on shaping the learning environment and teaching so that it meets all students' different needs. The relational perspective is based on a democratic citizenship perspective, equal rights, participation, and an accessible society.

You who apply

First and foremost, we are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 4-6. Secondarily, we are looking for you who have completed teacher education and have applied for a license with eligibility in grades 4-6. Alternatively, you have ongoing teacher education in grades 4-6. It is meritorious if you are eligible to teach other subjects in grades 4-6, based on the organization's needs.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through practice or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have taught in grades 4-6 for at least one academic year. It is also meritorious if you have experience with grading or alternatively documenting students' learning during the academic year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 4-6, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and let them participate in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
