Your responsibilities

Interdisciplinary studies focusing on violence against children and young people encompass all types of violence and their medical, psychological, and societal causes and consequences on the development, health, well-being, and functioning of children and young people. The subject area also includes studies on the prevention of violence, its identification, and support and treatment for those who have been exposed to violence, including the implementation of policy and methods, investigation of violent crimes, and cross-sectoral organizational development.

A position as a University Lecturer includes both teaching and research, where the distribution between these may vary.

As a University Lecturer in interdisciplinary studies focusing on violence against children and young people, you will work at the National Knowledge Centre Barnafrid. You will teach at undergraduate and advanced levels in Swedish and English, and supervise students within the Faculty of Medicine and Health's various programs, including doctoral education. The work includes administrative tasks such as course design, course responsibility, and examination.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who have a PhD or equivalent scientific competence, and have demonstrated pedagogical skill or other professional competence that is significant with regard to the content and tasks of the position. Docent competence in a subject area relevant to the position is particularly meritorious. We welcome applicants with a suitable background such as in law, criminology, medicine, psychology, social work, sociology, and other subjects dealing with violence and other abuse against children.

For this position, special emphasis will be placed on pedagogical skill.

About the position

Permanent position, full-time, with a probationary period of 6 months.

Start date by agreement.
