Your Responsibilities

The work includes course design and course responsibility. Teaching is conducted in Swedish and English.

Research-wise, the department conducts research in both logistics and quality development. Sustainable development is the key word in the department's research. Customers have traditionally been a focus within quality development, which in recent times has broadened to a wider stakeholder perspective that also includes societal benefit. The main focus of the subject area is research on principles, methods, and tools to improve existing products and services, to develop new innovative products and services, and to improve the organization's processes with the aim of satisfying the needs and expectations of customers, employees, owners, and other stakeholders. The department also has a growing focus on the importance of leadership for improvement work and innovation, with particular emphasis on how organizations develop the ability to translate ideas into practical change and long-term value creation. This includes studies of how leadership, governance, and organization can support continuous development in complex operations. Research communication is primarily in English, but also in Swedish.

You are active in the research community, participate in the department's activities such as seminars and workshops, participate in research projects, communicate results through academic publications, and contribute to attracting external research funding.

You actively contribute to the university's development work. Collaboration is an integrated part of the university's research and education mission. Collaboration in education is achieved by planning, organizing, and implementing good collaboration in educational contexts. Collaboration in research is achieved through active interaction with external companies and public organizations, as well as by disseminating, making available, and utilizing research.

The position may also involve administrative duties, such as coordinator for thesis projects or various departmental or faculty assignments. We also welcome your participation and interest in leadership roles.

Your work includes following developments nationally and internationally within your subject area and societal development in general that is relevant to your work.

You are flexible and have the ability to move between different types of pedagogical and scientific contexts. You share knowledge and contribute to the professional development of the work group, collegial working methods, and social community. We consider your presence and activity essential for you to perform your duties in the best way and to thrive in the work community.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a PhD or equivalent scientific competence, and who have demonstrated pedagogical skill, or other professional competence that is significant given the subject content and tasks of the position.

For this position, particular emphasis will be placed on pedagogical skill.
