Your responsibilities

As a teacher in Home and Consumer Studies and French, your main task is to spark curiosity and create a varied, challenging, and secure learning environment. This is a substitute position for the academic year 2026/2027, where you will teach 85% Home and Consumer Studies for grades 6–9 and 15% French in standard language choice groups in grade 6.

In this role, you will work to:

• Plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22).
• Integrate digital tools as a natural part of pedagogical daily life.
• Share mentorship for a grade 9 class with a colleague, supporting student development and maintaining close dialogue with guardians.
• Collaborate actively within the practical-aesthetic subject group and the language subject group to advance collegial learning.

Your workplace

Ånestadsskolan is located near the central parts of Linköping and has two school units, grades F-6 and grades 7-9. Each unit has a principal and an assistant principal. This position is located in the 7-9 unit, which has approximately 270 students and 45 employees. Students from various parts of Linköping Municipality attend this school.

You who apply

We primarily seek you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach Home and Consumer Studies and French in grades 6-9. Secondly, we seek you with a completed teacher education for grades 6-9. Alternatively, you are at the end of your teacher education for grades 6-9. Alternatively, you have subject knowledge in Home and Consumer Studies and French from other education or experience that the employer considers relevant. It is meritorious if you have previously taught Home and Consumer Studies and French.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-based school through practice or employment. It is meritorious if you have taught in grades 6-9 for at least one academic year. It is also meritorious if you have experience in grading or alternatively documenting student learning during the academic year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 6-9, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you must organize and carry out work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
