Your Responsibilities

As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work based on the national curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher, you view the student's entire school day as important, and you therefore collaborate with both guardians and colleagues regarding the student. As part of this collaboration, the school's and after-school center's activities also work together to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You base your work on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching, where digital tools are a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

Your Workplace

Nykil School is located in the heart of a community just outside Linköping and has approximately 200 students from preschool class to grade 6. Here you will meet students in a cozy and family-oriented school environment.

Nykil School has a large schoolyard with its own school forest, and actively uses nature for outdoor pedagogy - with us, the landscape around the school is a living classroom, where students are actively inspired to play.

Nykil School consists of several buildings, where we actively work together for safety, a conducive learning environment, and for all students to succeed. At the school, you will be one of approximately 25 colleagues.

In your role, you have your base in a class, which creates security for both the children and for yourself, where collaboration with colleagues is central. We create good relationships, which is reflected in our good results. We want our students to develop into secure and independent people who believe in themselves and see possibilities.

You Who Apply

We are primarily looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades 4-6. Secondarily, we are looking for you with a completed teacher education for grades 4-6 and who have applied for a teaching license. Alternatively, you are at the end of your teacher education for grades 4-6. It is meritorious if you are eligible to teach in several subjects based on the organization's needs.

It is a requirement that you have experience of working in a curriculum-based school through practice or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have taught in grades 4-6 for at least one academic year. It is also meritorious if you have experience of grading or alternatively documenting students' learning during the academic year.

To be relevant for the position, you must be able to work during the organization's opening hours as opportunities to get to us by public transport are limited.

In your role as a teacher in grades 4-6, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you are to organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in grades 4-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and let them participate in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
