Valdemarsvik is an archipelago municipality in southern Östergötland, located along the E22 highway. We are a municipality with approximately 7,500 residents today. Vammarskolan is Valdemarsvik Municipality's only 4-9 school, with approximately 300 students. We are centrally located in Valdemarsvik, with the bus stop for Söderköping/Norrköping right outside the door, yet still close to nature. Visitors to the school experience it as calm, well-kept, and populated by pleasant students. This is something we work on continuously together. RESPONSIBILITIES

You will teach woodwork and metalwork in grades 3-9. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching, as well as assessment and grading according to our governing documents. You serve as homeroom teacher/mentor for a class together with a colleague.

The position may also involve supporting students in the classroom during regular lessons in other subjects and teaching a smaller group of students.

You teach all students attending Vammarskolan, as well as some groups from Sörbyskolan (grade 3) who come to Vammarskolan for their woodwork and metalwork classes.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who want to work as a teacher in woodwork and metalwork with us. You find joy in meeting students based on all their differences, personalities, and abilities, and you want to challenge them to develop.

You are a certified primary school teacher in woodwork and metalwork. You see yourself as a natural driving force in creating good conditions for student learning. You enjoy collaborating and treat students, guardians, and colleagues in a professional manner.

You are aware of and clear in your pedagogical leadership, and you have the ability to create a good working environment. You are unpretentious, open to development, and wish to work in a school that is changing.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and are well-versed in the school's governing documents.

You are creative, proactive, and structured in your approach to work. You are calm, stable, yet flexible.

We naturally take good care of you if you are a newly graduated teacher.
