Do you want to become our new colleague? Music Teacher at Nykyrka School in Motala

In Motala, Östergötland's water town, we are open, proud, and innovative. Our municipality is the right place to contribute, develop, and thrive. With a responsible mission, we adapt to changes and act to develop a sustainable water town life in Motala Municipality.

Together we make life better!

We like you – and we help you to develop. Our vision is for children and adults to develop together into creative, positive individuals who choose joy in life. Therefore, we offer a broad and deep operation where we give you the opportunities, regardless of what your goals are. Motala should be an attractive and innovative part of the Östergötland region where it is easy to live and work. This is also our driving force within the Education Administration.

About the Operation

The primary school/adapted primary school operation is part of the Education Administration. The operation covers 21 primary schools as well as adapted primary school, with a total of approximately 4,500 students. Four of the primary schools are upper secondary schools, while the others, with a few exceptions, cover grades F-6. The operation also includes after-school centers.

Nykyrka School

Nykyrka is a small, family-friendly rural school with approximately 90 students (grades F-6 and after-school care). The school has nature close by, and the schoolyard features football fields, large play areas, and its own mini-golf course.

Here, students and staff meet in a safe environment with small classes and close relationships, where every student is seen.

We work across grade and professional boundaries, which creates good conditions for collaboration and a holistic approach to students' learning and development.

For the autumn term, we are investing in a development project focused on early interventions and increased equal opportunities for success in school.

The school has a well-organized and dedicated Student Health Team (SHT) that collaborates closely with both teachers and after-school staff. Together, we work preventively and supportively with students' well-being and development.

Our after-school center is functional and appreciated, with many students choosing to stay. The educators are engaged and creative and work actively with safety, community, and learning.

At Nykyrka School, there is a strong "we" feeling. All educators collaborate and support each other in daily life. We also work actively with the work environment, including joint well-being activities for staff, and strive to be a workplace where one thrives, develops, and feels pride.
