Do you want a rewarding assignment where you, together with colleagues, develop special educational needs work? As Coordinator for Special Educational Support at Ulleviskolan, you will become a key person who coordinates our student health work and supports students in their learning environment. Welcome to us!
Your responsibilities
In the primary schools of Linköping Municipality, a specific function has been established that supports the principal and coordinates efforts within student health services. In this position, you will work approximately 50% on the strategic coordinator role and 50% on operational work as a special needs teacher. The Coordinator for Special Educational Support has among other things the following tasks:
- Add special educational competence as support in pedagogical work and in the overall planning of student health services.
- Identify barriers and opportunities in the school environment for students in need of special support.
- Provide support in the work with pedagogical assessments and action plans.
- Provide supervision and consultation to pedagogical staff.
- Follow up, evaluate, and support the development of the organization's learning environments.
- Act as the coordinating party in communication between the school and external parties such as Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), Psychiatric Partners, and others.
The coordinator role involves leading the student health work and the student health team at the school to coordinate resources and interventions for students in need of special support. The Coordinator for Special Educational Support becomes a discussion partner and advisor to colleagues, the principal, guardians, and other relevant parties regarding both support services and pedagogical issues. The remainder of the position involves working as a special needs teacher. In this part of the assignment, you collaborate closely with students in their learning environment and are responsible for the school's special educational tasks related to student-centered support.
In this role, you work closely together with a colleague in the same position. You perform the daily work together, which provides fantastic opportunities for close collaboration, professional support, and shared experience exchange. You will be employed as either a special needs teacher or a special educator, and through the coordinator assignment, you will receive a salary supplement.
Your workplace
Ulleviskolan is located in the district of Skäggetorp. Approximately 160 students from preschool class to grade 6 attend here, along with an associated after-school center. At Ulleviskolan, you will encounter a warm, inclusive, and dynamic work environment where engagement and collaboration are central. Here, we work together, regardless of profession, with a common goal of creating the best conditions for every student to develop and reach their full potential.
Our vision is clear: together for learning, safety, and participation. This means that every day we strive to create a learning environment where students feel seen, receive the right support, and are encouraged to develop both academically and as individuals. We believe in lifting each other up, spreading positive energy, and building hope for the future in our students. Here, we value diversity and place great importance on language development, both in Swedish and in students' mother tongues. Here you have the opportunity to engage in a school where parents are actively involved and where staff are passionate about supporting students in their development.
