Platengymnasiet focuses on knowledge and education. We value values such as multiculturalism, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development. The school has five national programs, each with several different directions: Economics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Technology, and Health and Care Program. There is both a local sports gymnasium and a national sports gymnasium for the sports of sailing and triathlon. The school also has three national programs and one individual program within the adapted upper secondary school.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a special needs educator (specialpedagog) with us, you will be an important part of the student health team and work closely with school leadership, teachers, and other professionals to create good conditions for students' learning, development, and goal achievement.

You work primarily in a promoting and preventive manner by supporting the development of accessible learning environments and contributing special educational competence to the school's work at the individual, group, and organizational levels. The assignment includes conducting pedagogical mappings and investigations, analyzing students' need for support, and participating in the work with extra adaptations and special support.

You will supervise and support teachers and work teams in special educational matters and be a qualified conversation partner in the work of developing teaching and learning environments based on students' needs. As part of the student health team, you collaborate with students, guardians, school leadership, and external actors to create the best conditions for the student's learning and development.

The role also includes contributing to the school's systematic quality work and ensuring that support interventions are carried out in accordance with current legislation and steering documents. You are responsible for and participate in the work with pedagogical investigations, documentation, and action plans, and contribute to developing and quality-assuring the school's routines within the special educational area.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a degree in special education and a teaching license. Experience working as a special needs educator in upper secondary school is meritorious.

You have good knowledge of the school's steering documents and experience working with extra adaptations, special support, pedagogical investigations, and action plans. We would like you to have experience in supervising staff and working in student health teams.

We particularly value your ability to create trusting relationships and to collaborate with students, guardians, colleagues, and external actors. You are sensitive, communicative, and have a consultative working style that contributes to developing teaching and learning environments based on students' needs.

To succeed in the assignment, you need to be structured, careful, and have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and follow up on your work. You work legally secure and have a great understanding of the importance of documentation and quality assurance in special educational work. You have a holistic perspective on students' learning and development and the ability to translate analysis and special educational competence into practical development work.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to be able to communicate and document in a professional manner.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-10 or according to agreement.
Working hours: Daytime
