Who are we?

Palettens Preschool is located in Hageby, where we have a large, lovely yard as well as proximity to forests, a library, and playgrounds. This autumn, Palettens Preschool will enter a new context as staff and children from Önskestjärnan and Paletten merge. The preschool consists of six units, three for younger children and three for older children. Both preschool teachers and childcare assistants work on each unit, and the operations also have access to a special needs educator and a speech therapist.

Our operations are based on children's curiosity, interests, play, learning, individual needs, and experiential world. Play is our primary pedagogical method and is used as the foundation for learning, teaching, and the design of our environments. Values work is a passion for us, and we see respectful interactions between people as an important cornerstone of our operations. Therefore, we continuously work on reflecting on our view of the child and our approach.

We are now looking for a licensed preschool teacher as some of our colleagues will be studying and on leave during the autumn.

Your responsibilities

As a licensed preschool teacher, you are responsible for implementing the preschool's governing documents and the unit's prioritized goals in teaching, as well as for the development of the operations together with your work team. You actively work to ensure that the education is based on scientific grounds and proven experience and contribute to creating equal education with the child's development and learning in focus.

Together with the work team and the principal, you work to develop the operations based on the curriculum and the unit's overarching goals. You plan, implement, document, and follow up on the education through pedagogical documentation and systematic quality work. At Palettens, we use a common reflection tool every week to strengthen the systematics in project-based working methods, children's progression, child health work, and values work.

The role also includes participating in organizing and developing the operations across the entire preschool together with colleagues and the principal. You actively contribute to cooperation, development, and change work in the operations and work towards a professional approach and a good cooperative climate.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a preschool teacher degree and license, as well as experience in pedagogical work with children. You have experience and knowledge of organizing work across the entire preschool, for example in a role as a coordinator, team leader, or similar. Furthermore, you have experience with pedagogical documentation and good knowledge of the preschool's governing documents and systematic quality work.

You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as well as good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint. It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience within NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).

As a person, you find it easy to create and develop positive relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You communicate clearly and adapt your way of conveying information based on the recipient and situation. You are secure and stable in yourself and can maintain calm, focus, and a positive approach even in stressful situations.

You work independently, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive the work forward while having good cooperation skills and contributing to development together with others. You have the ability to coach and develop both children and colleagues through a positive and engaging approach.

We are looking for you who are curious, creative, and innovative and who gladly bring ideas and new perspectives to develop the operations. You are flexible and see opportunities in change work and have the ability to create engagement and participation in others in development processes.

You want to help shape, influence, and drive the operations forward based on the governing documents and the unit's prioritized goals.
