Your responsibilities

We are looking for you who are an expert in welding and want to train future welding colleagues. You share your professional knowledge through welding instruction, both theoretical and practical, with APL (workplace-based learning) visits being part of your daily routine.

As a vocational teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work based on the curriculum. You are responsible for the welding education, and the work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with another welding teacher.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you utilize the experiences and knowledge of various professions.

Your workplace

Anders Ljungstedts Gymnasium (ALG) is a large school with over 1,200 students and 220 employees. Organizationally, the school consists of five principal areas with close collaboration on issues that create synergies in the operations. It is easy to get to the school, which is only a short walk from Linköping's travel center. Getting here by city bus, bicycle, car, or commuter buses from Norrköping/Finspång also works well.

The school offers certified vocational education within a large number of national upper secondary programs. The school also offers adult education, vocational higher education, introductory programs, and adapted upper secondary school. Our commitment lies in creating a school where students develop to the maximum extent based on their own prerequisites. High knowledge development leading to a high school diploma and employability is the school's goal.

You who apply

We are looking for you who have a background as a welding specialist and preferably have completed the IWS education. It is an advantage if you have experience in teaching or supervising students during practical training. To be able to travel and visit students' workplaces, it is a requirement that you have a B driver's license; there is a car at the school available for loan.

In your role as a teacher, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum, you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development.

As a teacher, you are a good role model. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
