Are you driven by the desire to create conditions for young people with neuropsychiatric conditions to develop and become more independent? Then you could be the special educator we are looking for at NP-center.

Who are we?

NP-center is a municipality-wide operation within the social services department that offers support to young people aged 13 to 23 with neuropsychiatric conditions and their families. Our mission is to strengthen the young people's participation and independence in everyday life, as well as to provide support based on their current life situation and looking towards the future.

The support is tailored to each young person's needs and is provided in the environments where the young person is present, such as at home, at school, and during leisure time. Through an interprofessional approach, we offer coordinated interventions that create long-term conditions for development and increased independence.

At NP-center, we value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional interaction. Here, you have the opportunity to contribute your specialist competence in an operation where we develop methods and interventions together.

Your responsibilities

As a special educator, you play a central role in the pedagogical work at NP-center. You conduct pedagogical assessments and evaluations, and plan, implement, and follow up on individualized interventions based on the young person's needs and prerequisites.

You mentor and support colleagues in pedagogical matters and contribute your specialist competence to the operation's development and quality work. The role also involves collaborating with young people, guardians, and other actors, such as schools, social services, and healthcare, to create coordinated support around the young person.

Documentation is an important part of the work, and you contribute to ensuring the quality of the operation's interventions through structured documentation and follow-up.

Here, you will have a varied and developmental role where you combine direct work with young people and families with mentoring, collaboration, and operational development.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a degree in special education and a license as a teacher, preschool teacher, or school-age educator, as well as at least three years of professional experience. You have experience working as a special educator, and experience in social work is an advantage. You also have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you are receptive and empathetic, and have a professional approach when meeting young people, families, colleagues, and partners. You build good relationships and collaborate in a trusting manner.

You communicate clearly and adapt your way of conveying information based on the recipient's needs. You have a good ability to organize and prioritize your work and can make well-founded decisions based on available information. You take responsibility for your decisions and work structured even when the workload varies.

We also value that you have good self-awareness, are secure in your professional role, and contribute to a positive work climate through a respectful and solution-oriented approach.
