Your responsibilities

As a teacher for grades F-3 with us, you have a meaningful and varied assignment where the student's entire school day is at the center. The position is located in Grade 2, where you, together with two other teachers, will share mentorship for two groups.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating inspiring teaching in Swedish, Mathematics, Social Studies (SO), Natural Sciences (NO), and English based on the curriculum (Lgr22).
• Working consciously to strengthen students' language and communication development, so that every student has the opportunity to use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.
• Create varied, challenging, and digitally integrated teaching adapted to the specific student group.
• Collaborate closely with your two experienced colleagues in the team as well as with the after-school center to create a consistent thread in the student's daily life.
• Document students' development and learning and work actively with the school's value base.

Your workplace

Harvestad Schools consists of two modern schools in beautiful natural surroundings: Harvestadsskolan (completed 2015) and Bogestadsskolan (completed 2018). This specific position is located at Bogestadsskolan. The schools currently have approximately 500 students from Preschool Class to Grade 6, as well as a well-functioning after-school center.

You who apply

We are primarily looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in Swedish, Mathematics, Social Studies (SO), Natural Sciences (NO), and English for grades F-3. Secondly, we are looking for you with a completed teacher education for grades F-3. Alternatively, you are at the end of your teacher education for grades F-3.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-guided school through practice or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have taught in Grade F-3 for at least one school year.

In your role as a teacher in Grade F-3, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you are to organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that every student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in Grade F-3, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and let them participate in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
