Småskolan & Eraskolan is currently seeking an Assistant Teacher with an interest in both pedagogy and medicine. The position is full-time, daytime hours, with additional duties at the after-school center (fritidshem).

Småskolan (lower primary) and Eraskolan (middle primary) are sister schools located in Ljungsbro, just outside Linköping. We have been very successful in our mission and offer a safe, calm, and study-focused daily routine. We believe in small schools with small classes (approx. 20 students per class) and a high teacher-to-student ratio. Our key words are engagement, safety, and results. Here, students are given real opportunities to succeed, and you as an employee will have the chance to make the school an important and meaningful place in their daily lives. Our schools have received particularly positive feedback regarding safety and study environment.

With approximately 150 students and over 20 employees, we have a safe and long-term school leadership team, as well as dedicated and professional colleagues.

About the Role

To Eraskolan, we are looking for an assistant teacher with an interest in both medicine and pedagogy. The position is primarily tied to a specific student, but due to the school's structure, you will also be a valuable asset to other students. By "medical interest," we mean that you have a natural inclination towards care and nursing. A formal medical education is not a requirement, but experience or interest in the area is an advantage. The most important thing is your desire to build a good and successful relationship with both the student and their parents.

You also have a strong pedagogical interest – a genuine commitment to learning in the classroom. You want to be an active part of the process when knowledge is being built. In the afternoons, you work at one of our after-school centers, where you act as an active resource. The goal is to make the after-school center a safe and fun complementary place for students who need to stay a little longer.

About You

As an assistant teacher and after-school pedagogue, you are a secure and stable person. You handle your primary duty for the individual student with care, but you are also confident in interactions with student groups, colleagues, and parents. You are forward-looking and wish to develop your ability to meet students from both a knowledge and an individual perspective. You are ready to take responsibility and "step in" in various situations as required by the role.

If you have experience from primary school and wish to develop further, or if you are open to new challenges where you can work with high quality in positive collaboration with colleagues, you fit well with us. We place great emphasis on personal qualifications. You should have personal drive and be meticulous in your work.
