Your responsibilities

As a teacher in the after-school center, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work based on the curriculum. In this role, you will have a unique and varied daily routine where you divide your time between the after-school center and physical education.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Teaching Physical Education and Health for students in grades 1–3.
• Planning and implementing pedagogical activities at the after-school center.
• Collaborating with class mentors regarding physical education to create a coherent thread in the students' school day.
• Collegial collaboration with your colleagues at the after-school center to continuously develop the operations.
• Using digital tools as a natural part of your teaching.

Your workplace

Kvinnebyskolan is located in a quiet and leafy area in Hjulsbro, Linköping, surrounded by a fantastic outdoor environment that invites play and sports. We are a school with approximately 370 students in grades F–6. Our vision is that "All students should become their best selves," and our operations are based on the keywords Safety, Health, and Learning.

The school has four age-homogeneous after-school centers as well as one for the older students in grades 4–6. We have a high proportion of educated staff, which contributes to strong collegial support, high quality, and a positive development climate where we all participate in learning groups.

Who you are

We are primarily looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility for the after-school center. Secondly, we are looking for you with a degree certificate or completed education as a teacher in the after-school center. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education as a teacher in the after-school center. It is meritorious if you have eligibility to teach physical education and health in grades 1-3.

It is a requirement that you have experience as a teacher in a curriculum-based after-school center, through practice or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have worked as a teacher in the after-school center for at least one school year.

In your role as a teacher in the after-school center, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in Swedish. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that every student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in the after-school center, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and let them participate in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
