As one of our teachers is now further educating herself to become a special needs teacher, we are looking for her successor. For us, this is more than just a recruitment – it is an investment in maintaining high-quality education!

Who are we?

At Ektorpsskolan, we build for the long term. We believe in developing our employees and creating a workplace where teachers want to stay, grow, and continue to develop teaching together.

We are now looking for you who want to become part of a collegium where teaching is at the center, where we develop each other, and where there are high ambitions – but also good support and close collaboration.

At Ektorpsskolan, the mission is clear: we are to provide students with good academic results, a conducive study environment, and a stable foundation for upper secondary school and the future.

We are a municipal lower secondary school where teaching always comes first. Here, dedicated teachers work together with a well-functioning student health service and clear leadership. We believe in common structures, collegial learning, and systematic development – not in temporary projects.

We have made several conscious investments in teaching, study environment, and school development in recent years. Now we continue this journey and are looking for you who want to contribute.

Your responsibilities

In this position, you teach mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology in grades 7–9 with a clear focus on knowledge development, structure, and study environment. You plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching based on the curriculum and other governing documents, using both proven methods and digital tools to create clarity, progression, and motivation among students.

You actively contribute to working groups, subject groups, and the school's systematic quality work, where analysis and development of teaching are an important part of everyday life.

You work with adaptations and support measures for students in need of support, particularly students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF), and create clear, accessible learning environments.

You collaborate closely with the student health service, colleagues, and guardians to find solutions that truly support students' knowledge development. The position is during daytime hours on-site at the school, and you will receive a thoughtful introduction and, if necessary, a mentor so that you quickly get into our ways of working and our culture.

  • Teach mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology in grades 7–9 with a focus on structure, study environment, and academic results
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching according to the curriculum and other governing documents
  • Create clear, accessible learning environments and make adaptations for students in need of support, including students with NPF
  • Collaborate closely with working groups, subject groups, and the student health service regarding students' knowledge development and goal fulfillment
  • Maintain continuous, professional contact with guardians and, if necessary, collaborate with external actors
  • Participate actively in the school's development and quality work with a focus on language-developing and inclusive teaching

Who are you?

You are a certified teacher with qualifications in mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, and technology for grades 7–9, and you thrive with teaching and knowledge development as your core task. You have experience teaching in grades 7–9 and work systematically with planning, clear goals, assessment, and follow-up of results.

You also have experience teaching students with NPF or other support needs and know how clarity, predictability, and relevant adaptations make teaching more accessible.

As a person, you are secure in your teaching role, clear in your leadership, and consistent in your approach, while keeping things simple and understandable for students. You enjoy collaboration, collegial learning, and common structures because you know that this leads to better teaching and more time for what is most important: students' learning.

You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing and communicate directly, respectfully, and solution-focused with students, guardians, and colleagues.

  • Teaching certification with qualifications in mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics, and technology for grades 7–9
  • Experience teaching in grades 7–9
  • Experience teaching students with NPF or other support needs
  • Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
  • Very good knowledge of the school's governing documents and how they are implemented in teaching and assessment
  • Ability to create structure, study environment, and sustainable collaborations with colleagues and guardians

We welcome your application!
