The Education Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations and is responsible for preschool, primary school, upper secondary school, adapted primary and upper secondary school, and adult education. With approximately 1,000 employees, we offer education that promotes lifelong learning for all children and students, working towards the goal of "high knowledge results in a school where everyone can and wants to be". We place great emphasis on working close to the operations through regular dialogue and support for school leaders and teachers based on the chain of command.

At Vasaskolan, we work with the children in focus. All adults at the school share the responsibility for our children, and we have support functions that can be engaged when something is out of the ordinary.

We believe that a climate where we respect each other, treat each other with kindness and tolerance, and take responsibility for ourselves and others, both adults and children, is a prerequisite for a functioning school. We have a staffed school library and a school librarian who collaborates with the teachers on subjects such as information retrieval, source management, and social media. Vasaskolan's after-school center has four departments: Falken, Gladan, Höken, and Ugglan. We strive to offer a wide range of activities at the after-school center. Job Responsibilities

Teacher with a focus on work in the after-school center. Within the school collaboration, you are a teacher in music, art, or physical education, and in the afternoons, a pedagogue skilled in children's communication, leisure, and culture. The assignment involves meeting students between the ages of 6 and 12 before, after, and during the school day, focusing on the students' social development. Based on the goals set for the operations, you as a teacher in the after-school center shall collaborate with other positions and create a good pedagogical activity aimed at promoting children's/youths' learning and development. As a teacher in the after-school center, you inspire children/youths to new discoveries and interests, and you take significant responsibility for social education during the students' breaks.

Qualifications

A teaching license is required for the position.

You have the ability to speak clearly and exude credibility and self-confidence. You have the ability to give presentations, lectures, and training sessions and adapt them to the target audience's needs and feedback.
