Your Responsibilities

Do you want to help students succeed in mathematics and experience the feeling of understanding? We are now looking for a mathematics teacher for a municipal secondary school in central Norrköping. The position is new and gives you great opportunities to influence both working methods and setup based on the students' needs. Start: August 6th or as agreed. As a mathematics teacher, you will work closely with students in grades 7–9 who are in need of special support in mathematics. The focus is on creating understanding, building self-confidence, and giving the students the tools they need to succeed in their knowledge development. The teaching takes place both individually and in small groups, where you have the opportunity to adapt content, methods, and pace based on each student's prerequisites. You work together with teachers, student health services, and school leadership to create the best conditions for the students' learning. This is a position for you who enjoy thinking creatively about teaching and who see opportunities where others see obstacles. Since the role is new, there are great opportunities to influence how the assignment is shaped and developed over time. You will become an important part of the school's work to strengthen students' goal achievement and create an inclusive learning environment where more students reach their full potential.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level and who feel a strong commitment to the students' knowledge development. You likely have a few years of experience from teaching in grades 7–9, but we also welcome you who in other ways have built up a secure and relevant competence in mathematics teaching. As a person, you are relationship-building and have an easy time creating trust among both students, guardians, and colleagues. You see each student as an individual and are driven by finding ways forward when someone gets stuck in their learning. With patience, sensitivity, and a solution-oriented approach, you help students develop and reach further than they themselves thought possible. You thrive in collaboration and appreciate developing teaching and the school's support measures together with colleagues. At the same time, you are confident in working independently and taking responsibility for planning, implementing, and following up on your work. Above all, we are looking for you who are passionate about mathematics, believe in every student's ability to succeed, and want to make a real difference – every day.
