Do you have a passion for after-school activities combined with teaching physical education? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
Who are we?
Ektorpsringen is the central school in the Ektorp district. Starting this autumn, we are a two-stream school for grades F-6. The school is located in relatively new premises inaugurated in 2019.
Values-based work is central at our school. The work during the school day and at the after-school center creates a red thread in the students' learning. Our goal is that every student succeeds in their education, feels safe and enjoys their work, and that we together create a school for all.
The school has an after-school center divided into three departments, two of which are organized for grades F-2 and one for grades 3-6. The after-school center works to strengthen the compensatory mission, and for the upcoming school year, it will be part of a language initiative in collaboration with the Swedish National Agency for Education.
We work in a cross-professional and close collaboration with teachers, student health services, and other staff to provide children with a safe, joyful, and developmental daily life.
We are now looking for a newly certified teacher in after-school activities with qualifications in physical education who wants to help drive the operations forward.
The role includes teaching physical education together with the school's PE teachers in grades 1-6, as well as working in the after-school center.
Your responsibilities
As a certified teacher in after-school activities, you play a key role in the students' day. You plan, lead, and develop the teaching in the after-school center based on steering documents and the students' needs.
Your duties include planning and conducting teaching, both during the school day and in the after-school center, and evaluating meaningful activities.
You create structure and safety for all students regardless of needs, abilities, and prerequisites. You collaborate closely with class teachers and student health services regarding the students' overall situation.
During the school day, you support the PE teachers in teaching physical education for grades 1-6.
You contribute actively to the school's development and values-based work. Furthermore, you participate in parent collaboration and development conversations related to the after-school center's operations.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in after-school activities with qualifications in physical education.
You have experience working in after-school centers and are well-acquainted with the steering documents for after-school activities. You have experience teaching physical education. Additionally, you have experience working with students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF).
You have a clear development focus and are driven by high expectations for the operations. You are accustomed to working in teams.
As a person, you have a good ability to adapt to new situations and new ways of working. You can independently find solutions in the operations.
You are secure, responsive, and structured. You have a good ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
You have a good ability to lead yourself, and we would appreciate that you have experience leading colleagues. Seeing the students' needs and adapting the teaching is one of your strengths.
You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both in speech and writing.
Welcome with your application!
