About the position
The position is a childcare assistant vacancy in our special education group, appointed by agreement and extending until December 31, 2026. In the special education group, students in grades F-3 (preschool to grade 3) who need instruction in a smaller setting to succeed in school are placed. The position involves working in school and during leisure time (fritids). During school hours, you work together with two teacher colleagues. Together with them, you work to ensure students develop socially and academically, for example by supporting students in lessons, being present in the cafeteria, and supervising during breaks. During leisure time, the work involves planning and implementing activities for students in grades F-3 together with colleagues.
The position involves meeting students who are physically active and may be outgoing or challenging. This requires you to have the physical ability to handle these students, for example, by being able to run after students who run away or physically preventing a student from harming themselves or others. The work demands flexibility and teamwork skills to handle various situations that arise in operations.
Who are you?
You have a childcare education or equivalent and experience working in a multicultural area. You can express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is an advantage if you have experience working in a special education group and during leisure time, and if you are familiar with TAKK (Sign Support as Augmentative and Alternative Communication). You must have the ability to meet students with a low-affective approach and have a view of students characterized by respect and belief that all students can and want to develop. Since the work is varied and often unpredictable, you need to be stress-resistant and have the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability, and your work should be permeated by curiosity, warmth, and conscious choices.
