Do you want to be part of developing the future social services in a municipality where engagement, quality, and innovation are in focus?

At the Social Services Department in Österåker Municipality, you will have a key role in creating sustainable solutions for the municipality's residents. Here, you become part of an engaged and competent organization where collaboration, development, and responsibility are a natural part of everyday life. We work closely with the operations and political leadership to turn ideas, decisions, and legal requirements into concrete improvements that make a real difference.

Your new job

We are looking for a qualified employee who wants to work in a broad and varied role with a focus on investigation, coordination, and project management within the Social Services Department.

In this role, you will lead and drive assignments that the Social Services Department receives from the political leadership as well as from other departments and functions within the service organization. The assignments can be both strategic and operationally close, requiring the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new issues, analyze complex contexts, and turn ideas and decisions into concrete working methods and development initiatives.

The work primarily covers the area of elderly care but may also include other parts of the social services' operations. The role suits you if you thrive on variety, enjoy taking on new areas, and have an easy time creating structure and momentum in different types of assignments.

An important part of the position is the overall responsibility for initiating, driving, and developing the Social Services Department's work within crisis preparedness and civil defense. The assignment includes, among other things, continuity planning, coordination, and development of the department's overall preparedness capacity. The role also involves driving and supporting the work with the municipal health and medical care's preparedness based on upcoming legislation in the area that comes into force in 2027. The work is done in close collaboration with the department's MAS (Medically Responsible Nurse) and the Business Manager for Health and Medical Care.

I am the recruiter, Tove Nyström Eriksson, and I am the Development Manager at the Social Services Department. I lead the Development and Quality unit, where we work with operational development, quality, health and medical care issues, as well as strategic support to the department. The team includes experts, a medically responsible nurse (MAS), a medically responsible person for rehabilitation (MAR), and a web editor. As an investigator, you will become an important part of our unit and our joint work to develop and strengthen the operations of the Social Services Department.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are educated as a nurse, social worker, or have another university education that the employer assesses as equivalent and relevant for the assignment.

You have experience of qualified investigative work as well as leading groups, projects, and development processes.

To succeed in the role, you need to be analytical, structured, and have a good ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new areas and complex issues. You thrive in an independent role with many contact surfaces and have an easy time creating collaboration and driving work forward.

We would like you to have experience of working in a politically governed organization and understanding of the processes and conditions that characterize public operations.
