Job Description

We are looking for both temporary staff for fixed-term positions and hourly substitutes for our preschools. We are seeking you who are passionate about working with the youngest children in our community and want to make a difference for the children every day. You will work together with regular staff, both preschool teachers and childcare assistants, to create as meaningful, developmental, stimulating, and educational environment as possible for all children. You will participate actively in the daily operations and support the children's learning, play, and social interaction. It may also include some ancillary tasks such as setting tables, wiping tables, sweeping floors, washing, etc.

Within our organization, we see every child as a unique individual with their own experiences and competencies. We start from a view of children as curious and competent, with the will and ability to learn together with others. We work on developing children's multiliteracies by offering many different ways to express themselves and create understanding of their surroundings. Our approach is process-oriented and organized largely in smaller groups, where children are given the opportunity to calmly explore and deepen questions and areas that stem from their own interests and initiatives.

We offer meaningful, democratic, and learning contexts where children's participation and influence are central. Pedagogical documentation is used as an attitude and tool to make visible the children's learning processes and develop the pedagogical operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are curious, engaged, and professional, with a solution-focused and flexible attitude. You have good collaboration skills and want to develop the pedagogical operations together with children and colleagues based on the preschool curriculum, the unit's goals, and the operation's values and stances. You see opportunities instead of obstacles and are expected to actively contribute to implementing the preschool's working methods, attitudes, and values in daily work.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Salary: Individual salary setting. Start date by agreement.

About Lidingö Municipality

Lidingö Municipality has 18 municipal preschools with different pedagogical orientations, varying child and staff groups, as well as unique premises and work plans.
