The Sudret school area covers Southern Gotland and consists of four F-6 schools and one F-9 school: Garda, Stånga, Havdhem, Öja, and Högby.

The position is based at the schools in Garda and Stånga, both of which are F-6 schools with approximately 15 employees and 100 students each. We have a well-developed student health team working across the entire school area to create an equitable school where all students are given the best possible conditions to achieve good results.

Your responsibilities

The position involves teaching mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO) to students in grades 4–6 at Garda and Stånga schools. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating your teaching in accordance with the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. The teaching is designed to stimulate students' curiosity, problem-solving skills, and understanding of mathematical and scientific connections. The role also includes close collaboration with colleagues, students, and guardians to create a safe and developmental learning environment.

You work both independently and together with work teams and other colleagues in the planning and development of teaching. A central part of the work is systematically monitoring students' knowledge development. You work according to current routines for individual development plans and written assessments, creating conditions for all students to reach as far as possible based on their prerequisites. In consultation with the student health team, you work to implement relevant support measures for students in need of special support.

You are responsible for creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians, and actively contribute to a positive work environment and equitable education.

Who are you?

Teacher certification is a requirement for permanent employment, and relevant experience is required. You hold a valid driver's license (Category B).

We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom situation with engaged and participating students. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need to have good collaboration skills and be relationship-building, as good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work. You need to have the ability to adapt your teaching based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs.

To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different students absorb knowledge and the ability to adapt your teaching style, both at the group and individual levels. You want to collaborate with others and contribute to creating an equitable school and a good work environment.
