The Sudret school district covers Southern Gotland and consists of four F-6 schools and one F-9 school: Garda, Stånga, Havdhem, Öja, and Högby.

The position is at Garda School, an F-6 school with approximately 15 employees and 100 students. You will be part of the after-school care team. We have a well-developed student health team working across the entire school district to create an equal school where all students are given the best possible conditions to achieve good results.

Your responsibilities

As a teacher in after-school care, you work together with colleagues in the team to plan, implement, and develop education in the after-school care setting based on the curriculum Lgr22. Through close collaboration, you contribute to a cohesive and meaningful school day for the students.

You help create an activity that stimulates students' learning, development, and social skills. Together in the team, you are responsible for developing the pedagogical content of the after-school care and creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to participate and develop.

The assignment includes:

  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating education in after-school care together with colleagues.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff to create continuity and a holistic approach to the students' day.
  • Actively contributing to the team's development and shared responsibility.
  • Working closely with students and supporting their social development in various contexts.
  • Collaborating with the student health team in working with students in need of support.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher in after-school care/recreational pedagogy. Experience working in after-school care is required.

You have the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational learning environment where students are engaged and involved. Your leadership is characterized by clarity, structure, and an inclusive approach.

You enjoy working in teams and see collaboration with colleagues as a central part of the assignment. To succeed in the role, you need to have very good cooperation skills and be relationship-building, as good and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are crucial.

We are looking for you who are a team player who contributes to a positive and professional work climate. You are responsible, structured, and flexible. You want to develop the after-school care activity together with others.

Personal suitability is given great weight.
