Solkintsskolan is looking for you who are a qualified special needs teacher and seeking a position that can develop over time in line with the life you want to live.

Within the Northern Gotland school area, there are Fårösundsskolan (Grades 1-9), Lärbro School (Grades 1-6), Solklintsskolan (Grades 1-9), and Fole School (Grades 1-6). The area has one principal and two deputy principals. At the schools in the area, we work together to ensure that our students receive a good education, where collaboration between different student groups is a way to increase well-being and security at school. The format of the small schools contributes to us being engaged employees and colleagues who, through dialogue, drive work for school development on all levels. Your responsibilities

Your task as a special needs teacher is to add competence to the school's pedagogical work in our co-teaching group, Oasen. You work closely with the school's special needs teachers and special educators in the daily student-oriented work. You help create conditions for differentiated instruction to address our students' differences and needs for support. You provide direct instructional support to individual students or students in smaller groups.

Who are you?

A teaching license with special needs pedagogical competence is required. You have competence in reading, writing, and mathematics learning. Competence in Swedish as a second language is advantageous. We assume that you are well-versed in the curriculum. Knowledge of NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and IF (Individual Educational Plans) is also advantageous. You have experience working as a special educator or special needs teacher; it is also advantageous if you have had a lead teacher assignment in line with special needs interventions.

We want you to be a person who is engaged, responsive, and has a positive attitude. You need to have a good ability to inspire and motivate students to learn. It is important that you find it easy to collaborate within the special needs team and with the work team at the school. There is value in your ability to create good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. The work requires your ability to be flexible, able to plan, organize, prioritize, and create structure. A prerequisite for the work is having an inclusive and relational approach.

Great importance will be attached to personal qualities and suitability.
