Roma School is centrally located on Gotland, at a convenient commuting distance from Visby with excellent bus connections. The school has a total of approximately 360 students in grades Pre-K to 9.

The Roma school area also includes the school units Vänge, Kräklingbo, Dalhem, and Endre, which are all Pre-K to 6 schools. Students from these schools are bused to Roma School to varying degrees for instruction in several subjects.

Your responsibilities

We are looking for a school assistant who will work in grades Pre-K to 3. You will become part of a team of dedicated and competent colleagues who view collaboration regarding the students' entire school day as a prerequisite for creating coherence and security for both students and adults. We expect you to work to support students' development in their learning and to develop their social competence.

Your task is to ensure, together with the rest of the staff at the after-school center, that the activities are conducted according to the curriculum. In collaboration with colleagues, you create engaging learning environments from a clear and relational perspective. During the school day, you are largely involved as support in the classroom.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a school assistant education with good theoretical knowledge of children's development, learning, and care needs.

You should want to contribute your pedagogical knowledge to us. The work requires that you have a low-affective approach but can still set boundaries and meet children with special needs in a humble and professional manner. We are looking for someone who is sensitive, curious, and development-oriented. You take initiative, find it easy to collaborate, and create good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. Knowledge/training in neurodevelopmental disorders (ND) is meritorious. You master Swedish in speech and writing.
