The Sudret school district covers Southern Gotland and consists of four preschool to year 6 schools and one preschool to year 9 school. The position is at Stånga School. The other schools in the district are Garda, Havdhem, Öja, and Högby School. Stånga School is a preschool to year 6 school with 13 employees and 85 students. We have a well-established student health team that works across the entire school district to create an equitable school where all students are given the best possible conditions to achieve good results.
Your responsibilities
We are looking for an engaged and responsible student assistant for a student with type 1 diabetes. In this role, you will become an important part of the school's work to create a safe, inclusive, and developmental learning environment where the student is given good conditions to participate fully in the teaching.
As a student assistant, you work closely with the student throughout the day, both during school hours and leisure time. You contribute to structure, security, and continuity. Your assignment includes both pedagogical support in teaching, during transitions between activities, and in social contexts, as well as support related to the student's self-care regarding diabetes.
You collaborate continuously with teaching teachers, leisure time staff, student health services, and other school personnel and are an active part of the work team. Together, you work to create the best possible conditions for the student's learning, well-being, and development.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have experience working with children and young people. It is meritorious if you have had pedagogical work or experience with self-care initiatives, for example related to diabetes.
You are a stable and relationship-building person who finds it easy to collaborate and build trust with both students and colleagues and guardians. You work in a structured manner, are attentive to the students' needs, and have the ability to contribute to a safe and predictable school environment.
Furthermore, you are flexible and can adapt to different situations during the school day, while taking responsibility for your tasks and contributing actively to the work team.
