The Sudret school district covers southern Gotland and consists of four schools for grades F-6 and one school for grades F-9. This position is at Garda School. Other schools in the area are Stånga, Havdhem, Öja, and Högby School.
Garda School is a F-6 school with 17 employees and 111 students. We have a well-established student health team that works across the entire school district to create an equitable school where all students are given the best possible conditions to achieve good results.
Your Responsibilities
The position involves teaching at the lower primary level (grades 1-3). You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School, Preschool Class and the Recreation Centre (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You collaborate with colleagues, students, and guardians to create a safe and developmental environment for the students. The duties include planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in your subject, both individually and in collaboration with work teams and other colleagues.
An important part of the job is to systematically follow the students' knowledge development. You work according to current routines for individual development plans and written assessments. You strive to create a classroom situation where all students can succeed based on their prerequisites. In consultation with the student health team, you also work to ensure that relevant measures are implemented for students in need of additional support. You are responsible for creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Teaching certification is a requirement for permanent employment.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom situation with engaged and participating students. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need to have good collaboration skills and be relationship-building, as good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work. You need to have the ability to adapt your teaching based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs. To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different students absorb knowledge and the ability to adapt your teaching method at both group and individual levels.
