Your role

Together with our curious and innovative teachers, educators, and staff, we at Innovitaskolan want to make a difference for our children and students, for every future. We combine traditional teaching, what we and research know works, with modern tools and methods that change learning. In this way, we give them the tools to shape their own future.

We are now offering a 100% position for teaching in grades 4–6. You will be responsible for teaching and mentoring in one of our classes. You will work closely with your grade-level colleague and mentor colleague, as well as with subject colleagues, work teams, and the student health team. We would prefer that the applicant has a focus on mathematics and natural sciences.

The school has two parallel grade levels from preschool class to grade 9. Mentor groups, subject groups, and work teams are the core of the operations, and we actively work to create equal and good conditions for student learning. An operation for every future. In core subjects, we work in subject groups of three educators for two classes. This means that parallel classes have teaching in the subject simultaneously, and three educators are jointly responsible for teaching with high differentiation.

At the school, there is a conscious approach to the dual missions: values and knowledge. Above all, there is a wonderful drive and willingness to help each student reach their optimal level. At Innovitaskolan Visby, the staff enjoys working together, and the collegial collaboration takes many forms. Here you have the chance to develop in your teaching role and, together with students, colleagues, and school leadership, develop the operations. We have great trust and high expectations both for the students and for each other.

Within Innovitaskolan, we work together with three common concepts: Balance, Explore, and Innovate. All concepts aim to prepare and equip students with abilities and key competencies demanded today and in the future. The 26 Innovitaskolan schools are located within the country's borders. Here there are forums for collegial collaboration, innovative thinking, and common challenges.

Your profile

Primarily, we are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades 4–6.

At our school, we have high ambitions for our children's learning and development, and our work is characterized by high engagement. Therefore, we are looking for you with a strong personal engagement for learning and who are driven by exploring new methods and techniques in teaching through collegial collaboration. As a teacher, you are receptive and want to guide students towards the future. You are also creative, open, structured, and a clear leader in the classroom.

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period of 6 months (unless you meet the School Act's requirements for eligibility). Start date August 2026.
