Roma School is centrally located on Gotland, within a convenient commuting distance from Visby with excellent bus connections. The school has a total of approximately 350 students in grades F–9. Roma School is part of the Roma school area, which also includes the school units Vänge, Kräklingbo, Dalhem, and Endre. These are all F–6 schools, and students from these units are bussed to Roma School to varying extents for instruction in several subjects.
Do you want to help awaken students' joy of music and creativity? We are now looking for a certified music teacher for grades 1–6 within the Roma school area.
Your responsibilities
In this position, you combine teaching at Roma School with work at our outlying schools, providing a varied and developing daily routine where you meet many students and colleagues.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and wants to guide students toward knowledge, expression, and a desire to learn. You work in a structured and clear manner in your pedagogical leadership and have a good ability to plan, implement, and follow up on teaching. You also have an interest in school development and actively contribute to developing the operations together with your colleagues.
Who are you?
You are a certified music teacher or are awaiting your certification. If you also have qualifications in other subjects, this is an advantage.
We would like you to have some work experience in educational activities, a positive outlook, and a belief in every individual's will to develop and learn.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom environment with engaged and participating students. We also look for someone with a strong commitment to music, good experience in the subject of music, and musical performance.
To thrive in the role, you appreciate variety and adapt easily when conditions change. You are flexible, solution-oriented, and see opportunities where others see challenges.
As a person, you are secure and engaged, and you serve as a positive role model for the students. You believe in every student's ability to develop and have an inclusive and relationship-building attitude. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, are unpretentious in your working methods, and contribute to a good work climate.
You have a good ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and you work both independently and goal-oriented in accordance with the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22).
Personal suitability will be given great weight.
