Romaskolan is a school for grades F-9 with approximately 330 students, part of the Roma school district which also includes the school units in Vänge, Kräklingbo, Dalhem, and Endre, all of which are schools for grades F-6. Students from these schools travel by bus to Romaskolan to varying degrees for instruction in several subjects. The school has good transport links and a pleasant outdoor environment.
We are now looking for a teacher for grades F-3 or F-6 for the lower age groups at Romaskolan. We are looking for someone who inspires, develops, and has an inclusive mindset, adapting the learning environment for the benefit of all students.
Your responsibilities
You will work in close collaboration with several colleagues and be part of a work team. This provides good opportunities to develop a shared vision regarding teaching, approach, decisions, and joint activities.
In our systematic quality work, we focus particularly on three areas: teaching, grading and assessment, and safety and study environment. These areas permeate our joint work and create a clear direction for the school's development.
As part of our work on safety and the relational perspective, we also work with PAX in the school, a method that strengthens positive behaviors and interaction patterns. PAX gives us common strategies for creating predictability, building good relationships, and promoting study environment and student participation. Teaching should be based on a holistic view of the students – their needs, interests, knowledge, and previous experiences. The goal is to continuously challenge them further, spark curiosity, and inspire new discoveries and deeper learning. The work must always follow the Education Act and Lgr22, which describe the goals and frameworks of education. Teaching is adapted based on students' individual prerequisites and needs to give each student the best possible conditions for success.
You work with high and positive expectations and see good relationships with both students and guardians as a natural and important starting point in your work. Together with colleagues, you create engaging and structured learning environments through clear and low-affective leadership. You take responsibility for your professional development and actively participate in relevant competence development to continue growing and contributing to the school's development.
Who are you?
You who apply are a certified teacher or will soon receive your certification.

You are unpretentious, relational, and solution-focused, and understand the benefit of working in a team and learning together. You have the ability to work independently and goal-oriented based on Lgr22. You can collaborate with the school's student health team if needed.
It is important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changed circumstances in the operations.
