RF-SISU Gotland is the regional and local organizational body for the Swedish Sports Confederation (RF) and SISU Sports Educators. Our primary task is to support special sports federations/member organizations regionally and locally. All sports clubs in the country should have access to equal and adapted support regardless of sport and geographical location. Our main task can be summarized as representing, leading, and supporting, as well as educating and training within club sports. The Swedish Sports Confederation and SISU Sports Educators are undergoing a comprehensive change journey to meet the sports movement's goals: Strategy 2035. We believe in lifelong sports participation, value sports in clubs, base our work on the values of sports, and work to make Sweden stronger through the sports movement. RF-SISU Gotland is the regional support organization for sports.

Do you want to help develop sports clubs on Gotland? We are looking for a Sports Consultant who is passionate about creating conditions for club life to grow and develop.

Information about the role

As a Sports Consultant with us, you work through proactive activities in sports clubs, marketing, informing, planning, coordinating, and initiating various educational and training initiatives. In your daily work, you meet both sports organizational leaders, such as boards and functionaries, as well as coaches and instructors, but also active athletes. You support members' desire to develop based on their requirements, needs, and wishes. You do this by, among other things, starting learning groups, arranging lectures, and following ongoing processes within the movement.

You will be part of a team of consultants, where independent work is complemented by joint activities and meetings within the team.

Main responsibilities:

  • Initiate and support sports clubs in various forms of educational and development processes.
  • Arrange meetings, gatherings, training sessions, etc.
  • Lecture, educate, and lead processes for active participants and leaders.
  • Lead the development of sports' role in creating lifelong sports participation.

Qualifications and personal qualities:

You have broad experience in voluntary work as a leader or elected representative within a sports club and are well acquainted with the sports movement, including experience in educational and development work. You have completed education focusing on sports, leisure, public health, or pedagogy at a folk high school, university college, or university. Furthermore, you are pedagogical and have good social competence, enjoy speaking in front of people, have a friendly approach, and a positive attitude. You have good organizational skills and a great interest in working with learning processes. Experience working within a football club is considered an advantage.

Information about the position

The position is permanent at 100% with a start date to be agreed upon. The work requires travel within the district, which implies a requirement for a driver's license and access to a personal car. RF-SISU Gotland is the regional organization for the Swedish Sports Confederation and SISU Sports Educators on Gotland. We represent, develop, educate, and support sports clubs and special sports district federations (SDF) on Gotland. Our regional assignment consists of two parts – a sports assignment where we support, represent, and develop the sports movement in joint issues, and a civic education assignment where we aim to put ideas into motion and stimulate the development of sports through education and training. We base our work on the sports movement's joint values – Sports Want.
