We are a small Waldorf preschool in Visby looking for two student assistants for children with special needs.

We are looking for you who are positive, perceptive, flexible, quick-thinking, and genuinely interested in supporting children in their development. The goal is to teach the children to find strategies that help them become independent and able to participate in what is happening at the preschool based on their conditions.

For the work to go smoothly, you need to be communicative and have good cooperation skills, and be good at keeping track of schedules and maintaining order.

It is also important to have a sense and ability to set constructive and reasonable boundaries according to the situation and needs.

You need to have great patience and be physically strong, as the positions involve some lifting.

If you have previous life experience, work experience, and/or training with children with special needs, and can or want to learn sign language, this is highly valued.

At our preschool, we prioritize play, diversity, ecology, joy of movement, and music, vegetarian food, and outdoor time year-round. As we are a small private preschool, you will also become part of a community where we together care for our premises and our garden, with Waldorf pedagogy as the basis for our decisions in everything we do and create.

The positions are 75% and 50% respectively, starting in mid-August. The salary includes vegetarian and organic food, as well as the opportunity to substitute as needed in addition to the position. You will also receive a clothing allowance and a wellness allowance. The positions are fixed-term until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension until June 30, 2027.
