About the School
Vittarydskolan is a school covering preschool class to grade 6. The school is located approximately 1.5 miles north of Ljungby. We are a small school where everyone knows everyone and where everyone helps out. We have good and functional facilities with large, pleasant outdoor areas both at the school and the preschool. The leisure center and preschool class share facilities. The school has a natural setting and is close to nature.
At Vittarydskolan, we have highly trained and competent staff, and together we aim to create an environment where everyone feels joy in work, motivation, and engagement.
Responsibilities
We are currently looking for a special educator for grades preschool class to 6.
In your role as a special educator, you will plan and conduct your own teaching. You will also work with mapping, guidance, and observation of individual students or groups. You will work preventively to remove obstacles in different learning environments and develop work related to support measures and adaptations for our students in need of special support.
You will be part of the student health team, which consists of the principal, a counselor, and a school nurse.
Qualifications and Merits
We want you, the applicant, to be a certified teacher/special educator with a valid teaching degree for instruction in grades preschool class to 6, or have other pedagogical education that the employer deems equivalent.
Meritorious experience includes special education/pedagogical resource work in Swedish, mathematics, and English. We look for someone who has the ability to collaborate well, with a solution-focused approach in a work team where high expectations and collegial learning are in focus.
You should be able to take responsibility for your tasks, see opportunities in change, listen and communicate constructively, value differences, and place great importance on working towards the school's mission and goals. This means that together with other pedagogues, you lead, organize, and structure the work to create a secure learning environment. We also place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Interviews will take place continuously during the recruitment process.
