RESPONSIBILITIES

Gustavslundskolan is a grades F-6 school located in northern Hovshaga. Approximately 350 students attend the school. Gustavslundskolan's vision and goal are: Together we have fun and learn for life.

At Gustavslundskolan, every individual should be met with respect and allowed to develop based on their own prerequisites. The operations should meet the differences among students so that every child receives an equal education and the opportunity to feel desire and joy in learning.

As a teacher in the after-school care program (fritidshem), you will work in a grade level together with committed teachers who are passionate about their mission. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that the teaching in the after-school care maintains a high standard, where your responsibility is to lead and plan the afternoon work, but to carry out the teaching together with other educators and student resources in the after-school care.

As a teacher in the after-school care, you are responsible for:

  • Designing teaching that creates context, continuity, and progression in students' development and learning in close collaboration with other school forms.
  • Challenging students to use different working methods and allowing them to encounter a breadth of these in teaching so they are given the opportunity to develop multiple skills.
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating the pedagogical work based on national guidelines, both individually and together with the work team.
  • The teaching should aim to support the student's aesthetic, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development, and take its starting point in the students' needs, interests, and experiences.
  • Collaborate with and continuously inform guardians about the student's school situation, well-being, and knowledge development.
  • Design the complementary task in the after-school care so that students have the opportunity to explore, try, solve problems, and put ideas into action both individually and in groups.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who want to develop our school into a place where students thrive, are active in their learning, and develop their skills. You are a clear leader who works from a holistic perspective where both joy and engagement have a place, but also structure and organization become visible. You have the ability to create a good working climate with colleagues and you collaborate willingly in different constellations.

  • The ability to see and meet each student based on the student's prerequisites.
  • A positive attitude and contribute to the development of the operations.

  • A warm and open personality as well as the ability to set boundaries.

You also have a degree/authorization with eligibility for teaching in after-school care, but even you who have eligibility for other ages are welcome to apply.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
