Job Description
At Braås School, we have the privilege of following our students from pre-school class (F-klass) through to grade 9. The school is located approximately 30 km north of Växjö. Currently, there are about 380 students at Braås School. Our after-school program (fritids) is currently divided into three sections: pre-school class and grade 1, and grade 2 and above.
At Braås School, we work to develop the student health services with preventive measures to promote student learning. The work of the student health team is carried out in close collaboration with educators so that we can together support the students' development towards the goals. Proximity, accessibility, and a positive view of students characterize our student health services. We value our staff and strive to be the best workplace. The role of a teacher in the after-school center includes, among other things, planning, implementing, and evaluating the pedagogical work based on the school's steering documents and the student's needs and interests, both individually and together with the work team. You collaborate with other school staff to ensure a good learning and working environment for both students and staff, and actively participate in the school's development work. The role may also include a team leader responsibility.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are educated as a Teacher in After-School Centers or a Pedagogue in Leisure Time Centers. We consider it an advantage if you have experience in similar tasks. For a permanent position as a teacher in an after-school center, a teaching license with eligibility to teach in after-school centers is required.
As a teacher in an after-school center, you have a conscious awareness of your role as an educator and are a clear leader who works structured based on current steering documents and a professional approach. You have the ability to create a good work climate with engagement, curiosity, and security in the group, and you see and meet the children's different needs based on their different prerequisites.
You stimulate all children to develop, document their results, and have good communication with guardians. You also have a positive attitude, a flexible working style, good collaboration skills, and contribute to the development of the activity.
