We are looking for an engaged special needs pedagogue or special needs teacher for Urshult School. Urshult School is a grades F-6 school with an associated after-school center. There are approximately 110 students enrolled at the school.
Here, you will play an important role in Urshult School's student health team, together with the school nurse, school counselor, and principal. You will also collaborate with the municipality's central child and student health services, which include special needs pedagogues for preschool, speech therapists, and psychologists.
Depending on the scope of the position and your background, there is room to combine the special needs pedagogical role within student health with a more teaching-oriented work, where you contribute by supporting student development individually, in small groups, or in the classroom.
You have overall responsibility for supporting colleagues in investigating and documenting students' needs for special support, creating action plans, and following up on support measures.
You are proactive in analyzing needs and organizing adjustments and special support, and you actively participate in the school's systematic student health work, together with the principal, educators, and other professions within student health.
You are a qualified conversation partner and advisor for the work team and principal, contributing a special needs pedagogical perspective to both collegial learning at the school and the overarching student health work.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are trained as a primary school teacher, with more experience in teaching grades F-6, and who have a degree in special needs pedagogy or special needs teacher certification.
- Advanced knowledge in early reading and writing acquisition is meritorious.
- Experience working as a special needs pedagogue or special needs teacher in primary school is meritorious.
As a person, you are secure and relationship-building in contact with both students, guardians, and colleagues. You thrive in collaboration with others, are happy to share your knowledge, and see the value in developing the operations together.
You have experience conducting investigations regarding the need for special support and action plans.
You are solution-focused, flexible, and have a good ability to see and create pedagogical solutions based on students' individual needs.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for you who want to contribute to a positive and development-oriented work climate.
Selection and interviews take place continuously, so do not wait to submit your application.
