About the Workplace

The newly built Hjortsbergskolan for grades 7-9 is centrally located in Ljungby, with green areas nearby and close proximity to the F-6 school and leisure center. Our operations also have access to a sports hall. The new 7-9 school has its own kitchen, dining room, and five home bases. The school is built to accommodate five parallel classes with up to 375 students, but will start with four parallel classes from autumn 2024.

Hjortsbergskolan is a multicultural school, and we see all students as our students. Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to teach Swedish and work as a special needs teacher in grades 7-9 at Hjortsbergskolan. As a special needs teacher, you plan, implement, and follow up on teaching. You will work both in the classroom and with students in smaller groups and in individual instruction.

Shared mentorship is included in the position. Other subject combinations, French, or Home and Consumer Studies may also be relevant.

Qualifications

You who apply should be trained as a special needs teacher for grades 7-9 and have a teaching license. However, those with other education or experience are also welcome to apply. Great emphasis is placed on teamwork skills and the ability to meet students in groups and individually.

The Child and Education Committee wants to utilize the qualities that a balanced gender distribution, ethnic, and cultural diversity bring to the operations.
