Job Description

As a special educator at Kungsmadskolan, your main focus will be working with students in need of special support. You will also be responsible for coordinating and developing our support activities in the subjects of Swedish, English, and Mathematics.

You will belong to Unit 6, which includes the Hotel and Tourism program and the Restaurant and Food program.

As a special educator, you work in close collaboration with other special educators, teachers, and the principal, contributing to creating accessible learning environments for all students. You support and mentor teachers in adapting the learning environment and designing additional adjustments. You work with assessments, mapping, and follow-ups of student needs, and can teach students in need of special support individually or in groups.

An important part of the role is to be part of the unit's student health team. The work also includes mentoring teachers at the individual, group, and organizational levels, as well as other special educational tasks.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a special educator or special teacher and are a licensed teacher for upper secondary school. Please state in your application which subjects your qualification covers.

We would appreciate if you have previous experience in these tasks, and it is an advantage if you have experience working specifically with upper secondary school students.

As a person, you are flexible, clear, and structured. You have good teamwork skills, are receptive, and find it easy to communicate and build good relationships with students and guardians. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
