Job Description

As a teacher in an adapted school, you plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching based on students' individual needs and abilities. You work with clear pedagogy and use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) in various forms, such as sign support and picture support. You employ low-arousal and relational approaches in your interactions.

You collaborate closely with work teams, guardians, student health services, and other professionals with the goal of creating the best possible school situation for students, both regarding knowledge development and social development.

Through calmness, security, structure, and flexibility, you effectively build good relationships and create an inclusive learning environment.

Adapted Upper Secondary School

The position at the adapted upper secondary school involves teaching on national programs, individual programs, and possibly also adult education (KOMVUX) as adapted education.

Adapted Primary School

The adapted primary school is divided into two units: grades F–6, which is part of Paradisskolan, and grades 7–9, which is part of Linnéskolan. Your primary affiliation will be at the lower secondary level (grades 7–9), but collaboration between the units is a natural and important part of daily life.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are fundamentally a licensed teacher with subject competence and also a licensed special needs teacher specializing in intellectual disability (ID). Experience working in an adapted school is meritorious. Similarly, other special pedagogical competence is meritorious. You must also hold a category B driver's license.

As a person, you are calm, secure, and flexible. You have an easy time building good relationships and collaborating both within your own work team and with others.
