Åsedaskolan is located in a beautiful natural setting, benefiting from the advantages of a smaller school. We are just minutes away from nature, with nice jogging tracks, an ice rink, and large green areas.

The lower secondary school (grades 7-9) has approximately 170 students distributed across three parallel classes in each year group. Work is conducted in teams with a focus on the students' best interests. We also collaborate closely with Åsedaskolan F-6, which is located adjacent to the lower secondary school. A school nurse and a counselor are available at the school, and together with special education teachers and the principal, they participate in the school's student health team, which meets once a week. The school also has a safety team that meets regularly.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a teacher in Religion and Social Studies for grades 7-9. Together with the teaching team, you are responsible for the students' learning and development. You base your teaching on the curriculum with central content and use working methods and approaches that meet the needs of the students you teach. You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching, adapting it to the students' different prerequisites. You also collaborate with colleagues, students, and their guardians. Class mentorship is included in the position.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach Religion and Social Studies. You have the ability to build relationships with your students and adapt teaching to their abilities and prerequisites. You enjoy working in teams and contribute to a good work environment where collegial learning is in focus. You are flexible regarding all daily and long-term changes that are part of the pedagogical work. You have good collaboration skills and build relationships with both students and their guardians.
