The Staffing Department is a municipal resource that handles short-term absences of up to 14 days within preschools, leisure centers, and primary schools (grades F–9) throughout Varberg Municipality. We offer you the opportunity to work in various activities and at several workplaces where your work is meaningful and appreciated by children, students, and colleagues alike.

We are now looking for more engaged hourly substitutes who want to work in our activities across the municipality.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work as a substitute in:

• Preschool
• Leisure centers (Fritidshem)
• Preschool class
• Primary school (Grades F–9)
• Special needs education

As a substitute, you contribute to creating a safe, inspiring, and educational environment where children and students have the opportunity to develop every day.

Job Responsibilities

As an hourly-paid substitute, you work where the need arises for the day. Assignments vary depending on the activity, age groups, and your competence.

The work may include:

• Leading or supporting teaching in a class or smaller groups
• Working in leisure centers with activities, safety, and social development
• Supporting children in the preschool's pedagogical activities, play, and routine situations
• Helping individual children, students, or student groups during the day
• Participating in break activities, meals, and outdoor time
• Contributing to safety, structure, and a calm working environment

No two days are alike, and it is precisely this variety that makes the job both developmental and fun.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and young people and wants to contribute to a safe, educational, and positive daily life in our activities.

Education in child and leisure programs, teacher training, preschool teacher training, or other relevant education is an asset, as is experience working in preschools, leisure centers, or schools. You are also warmly welcome to apply if you are a qualified or unqualified teacher, are studying pedagogy, or have other experience working with children and young people.

However, the most important thing for us is that you:

• Have a good attitude and create safe relationships
• Are responsible, flexible, and collaborative
• Can adapt to different activities and situations
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Are at least 18 years old
• Can appear on short notice when needed
• Experience from preschool, leisure centers, primary school, or special needs education is an asset.

Please attach grades, diplomas, childcare education, preschool teacher license, and/or teacher license if you have them.

Pay form: Hourly wage.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
