RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities include teaching the vocational subjects included in the Child Care and Leisure Studies program. You clarify the goals of the teaching and communicate them in an understandable way to the students, while also assessing their goal achievement and assigning grades according to the curriculum. At Peder Skrivare School, the teaching staff works with joint assessment prior to grading.
The position includes being a mentor for a class. As a mentor, you play an important role in supporting students by having a good understanding of their needs, following their studies, and actively working to ensure they achieve their upper secondary diploma. You build strong relationships with students and maintain regular contact with guardians to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
Through collaboration with teaching colleagues, student health services, and school leadership, you contribute to creating a positive school environment where students thrive, develop, and reach their goals. You actively participate in various collegial settings where you both share and develop your subject knowledge as well as your pedagogical and didactic skills. To thrive in this role, it is important that you actively participate in the subject team's work and appreciate collaborating with colleagues, students, and other staff at the upper secondary school. Together, you work to create the best possible conditions for every student's success.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a vocational teacher with the qualification to teach in the Child Care and Leisure Studies program. You hold a teaching license and are well-versed in the school's governing documents.
You use digital tools naturally in your teaching and planning, viewing them as an integral part of your pedagogical work. You are motivated to support others' learning and create good conditions for knowledge development. With your pedagogical skill, you explain content and contexts clearly, adapted to different individuals and perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement in the classroom. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating to achieve common goals. You thrive in teamwork and see the value in working together for the students' best interests.
Your engagement and ability to build good relationships contribute to a positive and respectful work environment. You inspire and capture interest in the subject through clear and engaged communication. Flexibility is one of your strengths; you adapt quickly to changing conditions and have a structured, goal-oriented working style. At the same time, you are open to trying new methods and ways of working. The position is a fixed-term employment for the academic year 26/27, 100% during the autumn term and 70% during the spring term thereafter.
