Starting in the autumn term of 2028, a ten-year compulsory school will be introduced, where the current preschool class becomes grade 1 and the lower secondary school is extended to four years. In preparation for this, we are now seeking an engaged, knowledgeable, and development-driven teacher who wants to receive our new preschool class in autumn 2026 and follow the students all the way to grade 4.

We are a municipal Montessori primary school (grades F-9) with an after-school center, in a strong phase of development, where we roll up our sleeves and work together in a warm and solution-focused community. RESPONSIBILITIES
As a lower secondary school teacher with us, you will be responsible for:
- Receiving a new preschool class in autumn 2026
- Following the group through four years in a cohesive and student-centered learning process
- Implementing the new curriculum's clearer progression, knowledge focus, and structure in practice
- Creating a secure, inclusive, and accessible teaching environment
- Working long-term on students' reading and writing development as well as mathematics development, which are our prioritized development areas
- Integrating the values of Montessori pedagogy: independence, curiosity, practical learning, and structured learning environments
- Contributing to collegial learning and the school's continued development journey
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has a teaching license to teach in grades 1-3. It is an asset if you have Montessori training.
As a person, you have a good ability to work inclusively and relationally with a focus on teaching and the learning environment. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
We are looking for someone who has:
- License for teaching in lower secondary school (F3 or equivalent)
- Good competence in early reading and writing instruction
- Good competence in early mathematics development and basic number sense
- Ability to work formatively, analytically, and structured
- Competence to adapt teaching to students' age, maturity, and different prerequisites
- Montessori pedagogy training is an asset
