The mission of the Education and Labor Market Administration is to increase individuals' opportunities to find work and become self-sufficient through education, internships, and employment.

Kattegattgymnasiet is a newly built school with space for 1600 students and 180 staff members.

We offer both introductory programs, vocational programs, and theoretical programs. It is a brain-smart school, which means that we have created opportunities in our new school to provide students and staff with tools that they carry with them during their time with us and also in a lifelong perspective.

We are currently looking for a committed and secure special education teacher for 100% employment with immediate start.

Your Responsibilities

As a special education teacher, you work to create good conditions for students in need of special support and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and developing learning environment. You collaborate with teachers, student health services, and other colleagues to early identify needs, design interventions, and ensure that support works in practice. As a special education teacher with us, you are part of a team with several other special education teachers where there are great opportunities for exchanging experiences through regular network meetings. Your tasks include:

• conducting educational investigations and designing action plans
• supporting individual students in the classroom or teaching in smaller groups
• guiding and advising teachers on adaptations and working methods
• documenting, following up, and planning interventions in collaboration with student health services and work teams
• driving development work together with colleagues to strengthen learning environments and develop methods that promote students' learning and academic results

You work in accordance with the curriculum goals and other central and local governing documents, and you are an important part of the school's overall work to ensure that students succeed and feel good.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a special education teacher with a special education degree who wants to help create the best possible conditions for our students to succeed and reach their goals. The role includes leading and guiding at the group level, understanding different situations, and grasping the underlying causes of students' difficulties and needs. You have a good ability to analyze, identify, and suggest concrete measures that promote students' knowledge development and enhance the organization's working methods.

You are driven by collaboration and development together with colleagues and see the value of shared learning. You find it easy to build good relationships with young people, are socially active, and feel secure in moving and communicating in various contexts.

We are looking for someone who has a professional approach, a genuine commitment to students' development, and a desire to contribute to an inclusive and supportive school environment. Professional experience in schools is an advantage.
