Education Falkenberg is based on the conviction that all children and students can and want to learn and do the right thing if they can. It is the quality of teaching that determines whether children and students achieve the goals of the instruction and develop a positive learning identity.

By having clear expectations for different professions, meeting our children and students with a relational approach, and giving them the opportunity to participate in teaching that is accessible, formative, and collaborative, we believe that teaching quality in our preschools and schools can be improved. Because good quality can always become better.

Responsibilities

Falkenberg Upper Secondary School is seeking a mathematics teacher for the academic year 26/27, preferably with a combination of another subject, for the Health and Social Care Programme. The position involves belonging to the Health and Social Care (VO) team, but you will largely teach on other vocational programmes and at various mathematics levels. As a teacher on the Health and Social Care Programme, you will become an important part of a small but growing team, with excellent opportunities to influence the programme's development. Your duties include teaching, student guidance, and mentoring. Together with both subject colleagues and team colleagues, you will work to ensure that programme and subject development continues to grow for the sake of our students.

With us, you will get:

  • The opportunity to help shape the development of the school's Health and Social Care Programme.
  • Time and structure for developing your teaching.
  • The opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues while developing in your professional role.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a qualified subject teacher in mathematics, preferably in combination with another subject. We expect you to have good digital competence and experience working with various learning platforms for documentation and feedback.

We place great importance on personal suitability and are looking for someone who:

  • Works relationally and builds trust: You create safe and trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. This is a prerequisite for student learning and good collaboration within the team.
  • Is engaged, positive, and eager to develop: You take responsibility for your own professional development and contribute ideas and engagement to the development of both subject teaching and the programme as a whole.
  • Is structured, flexible, and solution-oriented: You plan and carry out teaching in a clear and thoughtful manner, while having the ability to adapt when conditions change. You see opportunities rather than obstacles and handle challenges constructively, which is important in a school environment where students' needs can vary.
  • Has good subject knowledge and is willing to share: You are confident in your subjects and see the value of collegial learning. You actively contribute in teams and subject groups by sharing experiences, materials, and ideas.
  • Has good digital competence: You use digital tools and AI as a natural part of teaching and daily work, and find it easy to get up to speed with new systems and ways of working.
